As the music specialist at Powers Ferry I strive to provide students with the best musical experience possible. My purpose is to provide a well rounded, challenging, and focused music program that can be used and appreciated for life. I aim to further the development of each student as an outstanding individual by using music as a vehicle to instill qualities such as pride, teamwork, motivation, self-esteem, self-integrity and respect. I enjoy giving all students the musical experiences that produce rewarding benefits that only music can offer. These experiences include singing, playing instruments, creating music and movement, dramatic play and listening to composers. I help students to gain a sense of belonging through participation in music as well as a sense of achievement from successful musical performances.
